Cuz... I wanted to post it. I mean you can really never post enough Gamecocks right? I could post hundreds... no thousands.... wait millions and still not say, I have posted enough Gamecocks. Don't judge me. How many Gamecocks have you posted today? Huh? Better get to postin. Go ahead. Once you start you can't stop. I sound like an idiot? Yep. But I sound like an idiot who posted a Gamecock today. Deal with it.7.12.2009
Just a Gamecock
Deal with it.Ummm... Clemson making fun of Jorts? Oxymoronic.

I know these guys were trying to be funny but.... 1.) They're not and 2.) Most of what they are saying is based on reality. VIDEO AFTER JUMP
HEY REF! THANKS FOR THE WIN!
Billy Dib is sort of figure in some sort of boxing. Here he knocks out a guy while he is still on his knees. I didn't realize this was legal in boxing. The ref must have thought so. The guy still got up. Wobbly. The ref stopped the fight even though he said he was O.K. 10 seconds left in the round. Hmmm. What was it people use to say about boxing being fixed? FULL VIDEO AFTER THE JUMP.THAT DAMN FLAG
My views on this flag have been made clear. While I can't say I speak for everyone, I can certainly speak for me. This has gone on long enough. The flag needs to be removed and placed in a dimly lit corner of an small museum that no one knows exists.I agree with the dude from the four letter network on this one.
University of South Carolina football coach Steve Spurrier had it right two years ago, when he had the stones to say "I realize I'm not supposed to get in the political arena as a football coach, but if anybody were to ask me about that damn Confederate flag, I would say we need to get rid of it."
Flying the Confederate flag has cost South Carolina the opportunity to host three ACC baseball tournaments. That damn Confederate flag is at it again. Thirteen stars. Two stripes. Forty-seven years (and counting) of polarizing controversy.
UFC 100 – BREAKING NEWS: BROCK LESNAR’S A PRICK
But you knew that already right? No shock there. That doesn’t change the fact that he is a freak physically and could possibly be the greatest heavyweight off all time in the UFC.UFC 100 – FIGHT BY FIGHT
Yoshihiro Akiyama Vs. Alan Belcher
Yoshihiro Akiyama Vs. Alan Belcher
This was not a crowd pleaser. Alan Belcher is a talented fighter and fought hard but in the end, Yoshihiro out pointed him. Yoshihiro brought more to the fight than Alan and it paid off. I have heard all the experts saying that Belcher was robbed by the judges (including announcer Joe Rogan who uttered the phrase moments after decision was announced) but go back and watch the tape. Yoshihiro scored more points.

Dan Henderson Vs. Michael Bisping
I like many things that come from the U.K. Michael Bisping is not one of them. This guy has always just got on my nerves. While he is an o.k. fighter, his inflated sense of self has made me want to see him hurt more than once. His stint as a coach on this past season of the Ultimate Fighter did little to curb my hunger for his destruction. It was just a non-stop taunting of the USA and taking the credit for the talented fighters he was lucky to have on his team. Until now, he has managed to avoid being embarrassed and for the most part backed up the massive amounts of shit talking that he does. His plan was to stick and move but from early on it was clear he was in trouble. In a brilliant move he kept rotating towards Dan’s legendary right hand and it was only a matter of time before that brick was uncoiled and smashed into his chin. The knock out is one of the ugliest I have ever seen in the UFC and I have watched every single PPV from UFC 1. Then in a very gratifying display of kiss my ass, Dan launched into the air and dropped a finishing hammer fist/forearm on the unconscious Bisping. For a moment, I thought Bisping was dead. Deservingly so, Dan earned a knock out of the night bonus. He also earned my respect when trying to satisfy the image conscious Dana White, Dan explained he wasn’t trying to hurt Bisping with the last blow (the ref hadn’t stopped me yet) but admitted “It felt good.”
Georges St. Pierre Vs. Thiago Alves
I was pulling for Thiago but knew before the match that St. Pierre would win. St. Pierre just seems to be in a zone right now. Still, I don’t really like the guy. There are a few reasons.
- He is a JORT offender (see movie: Never Surrender)
- When he talks he sounds like he is doing a really bad impression of Jean Claude Van Damme (another not so likeable sort of Frenchman).
But the main reason is that he bores the shit out of me. He has had a couple of entertaining fights but for the most part he just sort of pushes you around and out scores you. I never expect a knock out in a GSP fight and I get shocked when there is one. He is just seems…. Magoo. Or something like that. I will say that the only fight I would get up for where GSP is involved will be if he fights Silva. That would be fun to watch. PSsst. Silva would beat his ass.

Brock Lesnar Vs. Frank Mir
As I said in the opening, Brock is a prick. I really don’t like the guy. But, I dislike Mir more. I didn’t always. I actually thought he was o.k. No opinion one way or the other. I could take him or leave him. But, after his first fight with Brock in which he submitted Brock with a leg lock, Mir started prancing around like he was the greatest thing since the jock strap. If you saw that fight (which I did), Brock was beating the shit out of Mir before Brock made a mistake and gave up his leg. It was a rookie mistake. It was Brock’s first fight. Mir is nowhere near the class of fighter as Brock and this destruction we saw last night proved it. Everyone knew it. They saw what was happening before they stopped the fight and let Mir regain his composure. The only person oblivious was Mir. He strutted and taunted Brock saying he made him say uncle. Look, you got lucky. You beat him. Be happy with that. If you find a hundred dollar bill on the ground, pick it up and quietly put it in your pocket. Don’t hold it up and tease the people around you. Again, let me be clear, I don’t really like Brock Lesnar. I have always been about the honor of the martial arts world and this guy represents the less than honorable side of MMA. His actions after the fight clearly showed his personality. This was scripted. This wasn’t words given to him by the crafty writers over at the WWE. That was him. Through and through. I am not sure shit would have been said about it if he hadn’t offended the sponsors.
Bottom line, UFC 100 lived up to its billing. I am not as pumped for UFC 101 but I will probably get it.
Note: Who are the marketing people over at the UFC? How do you miss referencing the 101 in the next event? UFC 101: Beating that ass. Class begins at 7PM.
Where is the love Cockytalk?
My feud with Cockytalk is well documented (or at least it used to be).
I started the old website (thecoolchicken.com – taken down so I could focus on Barnyardian.com) many years ago, about 6 months before Cockytalk came along. I am by nature a social person and back in those days the “social network” scene was mostly a series of forums a person would enjoy going to.
I was a member of a few including that big one that shall not be named. I am not sure if the owner of Cockytalk (Hoskins) was a member there or not or even how we met but he would check out thecoolchicken.com from time to time. Once he started Cockytalk, he asked if I would help promote it on thecoolchicken.com to which I said “sure!” After all we are all Gamecock fans and as such should support one another. I did so. A lot. I sent a lot of traffic and members their way. Plus, it afforded me the chance to showcase so of my posts to the members of Cockytalk. Something that was not allowed on that other message board. After awhile, I noticed that a few of my ideas suddenly became their ideas.
The video page was one. At the time, no one was creating Gamecock Fan Videos other than me and they were very popular. In response, Cockytalk created a Video Page and posted some of my videos over there. I really didn’t care. It was fun. Plus, it inspired a whole slew of Gamecock Fans to create fan videos and some were pretty good.
Then I got busy and I had to leave the blogging scene for about 4 months. I didn’t get to post over at Cockytalk as much. In that time, Cockytalk grew and brought on some moderators. Many were just members who wanted to be “more than members.” When I got some free time and I came back to post, I stuck up a link to thecoolchicken.com. I had done this many times before. It wasn’t the only thing I ever did. I usually came in and posted on other people’s pages and would post original threads as well. My “link” posts (which were usually to articles) were less than 5% of my total posts. But something happened this time.
Within seconds, my post was deleted by a moderator. So, I questioned it. Within minutes, I was banned. I shot an email over to the person who banned me and I got back a really nasty email telling me that I was a piece of shit and more. Confused, I shot an email to Chuck Hoskins (the owner of Cockytalk). He never replied. He never backed me up. He never acknowledged all that I had done for his site. Shortly after a moderator posted a thread in which he stated that any links to my site would be immediately deleted even if they were posted by someone else.
I fired off a post about how low Cockytalk had fallen and I moved on. It really is sad in many ways. But really does it hurt my feelings? Nah. I was around before them and I will be around after them.
The reason for this post today is that I have noticed more threads by moderators over at Cockytalk. Now, no one is allowed to link to thebigspur.com (an espn site). They have a whole list of sites you can’t link to. Before much longer, you are not going to be able to link to any site. I guess I am asking: Why?
Here, I link to anyone and everyone. It is the way of the internet. There are companies out there that I do not like. The State, that forum that shall not be named… but I will still link to them if they have an article that I find interesting. Are the members of Cockytalk that much more important than other gamecock fans? Why are they getting to the point where they refuse to support other gamecock websites?

GAMECOCKS LOSE IMAGINARY GAME
Ummm.... What the hell? A fake game determined by sports writers?Colorado (Big 12 No. 7) vs. South Carolina (SEC No. 7) - Colorado's record against the SEC: 0-2South Carolina's record against the Big 12: 0-1 Previous series: Never met.
Distance between them (according to How Far Is It): 1,404 miles.Where they should play: Clarksville, Ark. (717 miles from Boulder, 722 miles from Columbia)
Who wins: Colorado.
Why: Two of the great quote machines in college football will square off in this matchup. It's too bad the action on the field likely wouldn't compare with the interplay between Steve Spurrier and Dan Hawkins.
Even with the uncertainty of Colorado's quarterbacking with Cody Hawkins and Tyler Hansen battling for the job, the Buffaloes would be able to run consistently against a Gamecock defense weakened by the departure of its top three playmakers from last season. And although Stephen Garcia was Spurrier's first big-time recruit with the Gamecocks, he hasn't gone through the wars in college football -- yet.
The Gamecocks' specialty on defense is stopping the pass. Unfortunately, Colorado moves the ball much better running the ball than passing. So it's not a good matchup for South Carolina defensive coordinator Ellis Johnson's group.
South Carolina might be able to beat some other more highly ranked Big 12 teams that rely on passing more than the Buffaloes. But in this game, Darrell Scott, Rodney Stewart and an improving offensive line would enable the Buffaloes to grind out a victory.
The count: Tied, 3-3.
Monday: Texas Tech (Big 12 No. 6) vs. Arkansas (SEC No. 6).
Note: Matchups are determined by the most recent rankings of Big 12 blogger Tim Griffin and SEC blogger Chris Low. All cumulative records go back to the 1996 season -- the first of Big 12 competition.

SOME YAHOO TALKS SPURRIER AND GARCIA
If Spurrier’s future hinges on Stephen Garcia, then in this reporter’s moderately educated opinion, he’s no risk to retire anytime in the next year, even if Garcia continues to struggle. For all the hype around Garcia, it’s important to remember that 2009 is the first off-season in which he hasn’t been suspended from practice for a substantial amount of time, and he played in only eight games last season (only three of them starts). So he’s still very much an unfinished product; too unfinished, certainly, for Spurrier to base any major life decisions on one potentially less-than-wonderful season.LOW TALKS SEC RIVALRY. NOTE: CHRIS KNOWS LITTLE

Do you think Mr. Low is ever going to figure out that he is liked by few? Video or something after the jump.
8. Vanderbilt at South Carolina, Oct. 24: Is South Carolina ever going to beat Vanderbilt again? The Commodores and Bobby Johnson, a South Carolina native, have won two in a row over the Gamecocks. The Head Ball Coach might not be able to survive a third straight loss to Vanderbilt, especially at home.
